Cybi Striders

13th Club Championship Race.
Colwyn Bay Cross Country.

With the club championship getting to the business end of the season 12 Cybi Striders raced the very muddy and very wet Cross Country route at Colwyn Bay.

First up were the Cybi Angels (Women’s Race), first Cybi home was Sara scoring maximum points and extending her lead at the top of division 1. Next in was Angharad, Pat and Sal, completing the women’s line up and all fighting it out for those top 3 positions in division 2.

Next up it was the men’s turn having an extra lap of the big hill thrown in for fun. First Cybi home was Chris Thomas who had obviously decided to have a little play in the mud on the way around, Barry Smith was second in with Darren Seeney, Paul Maitland and Sion Roberts following not far behind.
There was a sprint finish between the last two Cybi striders home, with Tweedle dee (Richard Furniss) pinching it right on the line from Tweedle dum (Nigel Jones).

One Cybi took a tumble in the mud before completing the first lap, and wasn’t able to finish, no need to guess who. Kevin Clark hope your ok and on the mend soon.

There was an extra Cybi running today but was a little confused as to what top he should be wearing and had this funny looking orange top on. Must be his age.

Great team spirit today by Cybi’s and all out supporting each other around the course. with most experiencing cross country running for the first time and then after talking about when the next cross country race is being held.

Well done all. See MoreSee Less

Big thank you to Alan Wilson, our ever reliable kit man who was also assistant secretary today and helped out with the score sheet and our resident photographer. Man of many talents.

Great report on all the fun everyone had in muddy Colwyn Bay .

Definitely my age, comes to us all eventually!!! Well run everyone. Ian..

I can't believe I'm even contemplating another one 😱🀣🀣 thank you to everyone for your support. I wasn't really in a bad mood after lap 1 (well, maybe a little 🀣)

What has Nigel done to his little legs?? 🀣🀣
